The swimming pool is a 2-metre deep competition pool with a 9-metre long moveable floor. The scheme also included a dance studio, fitness suite, entrance foyer and a variety of changing areas.
The project was developed with low running costs in mind. Extensive design meetings took place to ensure the new facility adhered to the need of the client. The new pool and water treatment plant is tier 1 in terms of quality, therein reducing the cost of maintaining the facility. The building also benefits from high insulation values and renewable energy generation.
A new state of the art 6 lane, 25-metre competition swimming pool was designed and completed as a 2-metre deep pool throughout with a 9-metre long movable floor providing complete flexibility in use, from competitive water polo matches to beginners swimming lessons. The competition pool itself offers a state of the art water treatment solution, comprehensive wet changing facilities, competition standard poolside equipment, timing systems, display boards and spectator seating. Delivered on time and on budget and to the low running cost standard required by the client.
