About Goodrich

Goodrich Consulting is a project and cost management consultancy working within the construction industry, delivering built assets with a clear focus on our clients’ needs.

We work within the industrial, commercial, multi-room, education and leisure sectors throughout the UK.

The owner managed firm was founded in 1992 and is led by Mark Plowman, Paul Riley and Richard Davies, with support from a highly qualified and experienced team.

Goodrich has offices in Northampton and Birmingham and holds the progression and advancement of its people at its heart.

We offer our clients our expertise and experience – we strongly believe that “Experience Matters” and that the Goodrich team can deliver for you.

Our process

Due Diligence

In order to assess the viability or feasibility of any proposal, it is important to consider all relevant factors. Goodrich Consulting support our clients in helping to understand the legal and physical constraints, planning view, risks and health and safety implications, alongside likely costs associated and timescales involved.

Planning / Approvals

Following on from a positive due diligence review, Goodrich Consulting leads the development of the project team. We gather the necessary supporting documents and investigations and advise our client on their exposure to costs in terms of the design fees and the proposals themselves. We lead our client by the hand to the approvals that meet their needs.

Procurement / Contractor Selection

The client brief is now well established and detailed with approvals granted or expected. At this point Goodrich Consulting pushes forward with the most appropriate method of procurement to identify the preferred contracting partner for the build. This ensures all risks are identified with robust mitigation measures in place prior to moving onto the next stage.

Build out / Construction

At this point we have selected a competent principal contractor for the scheme, with cost, time, quality and risk clearly identified within a robust set of contract documents. It is then our job to monitor and control the contractor’s progress through to completion; regularly reporting against programme, cost, risk and quality and advising all parties throughout with the principal target of delivering a compliant build in line with our clients’ expectations.

Completion / Handover / Post Completion Support

At completion we have a very clear set of requirements that must be delivered prior to confirming the works are complete. Once we are agreed the job is done, we set up a clear method and action plan for dealing with any issues. We are always available to discuss any problems. With over 95% of our work being repeat business, we understand the importance of being available and on-hand if issues arise.
